Lawn and Garden

For many homeowners the curb appeal of their home is very important.  Real Estate professionals will tell you that a beautifully landscaped property will command a premium price, even in a tough housing market.

So what do you do in Tampa Bay where we are always facing difficult challenges from the weather, insects, weeds, and the chemicals we use everyday just to stay even?

It’s a delicate balance to be sure, but the reality is water shortages already exist here.  And less water for our lawns and ornamentals means many of us will be devising ways to use less of this primary resource while preserving the “curb appeal".

The advertisers on this page are committed to providing goods and services that comply with environmental regulations, conserving natural resources and minimizing waste and pollution.

The Florida Yards & Neighborhoods (FY&N) program is designed to assist and guide residents to conserve water in the landscape and make positive changes in the environmental quality of their yards, neighborhoods and surrounding waterways. FY&N is a hands-on outreach program in local communities that teaches and implements the principles of Environmental Landscape Management.
