PINELLAS LIVING GREEN EXPO
May 3rd and 4th 2008
Harborview Center - Clearwater Florida
300 Cleveland St.
The Pinellas Living Green Expo will be the largest gathering of green-focused, ecologically-minded vendors and exhibitors ever assembled in Pinellas County. As many as 100 different groups, businesses, not for profits, and educational institutions will be putting their “green” foot forward during the weekend.
Progress Energy, already recognized for it's progressive tree car-practices with the distinctive Tree Line USA designation from the National Arbor Day Foundation, will provide Native Florida trees on a first come, first served basis.
Attendees can visit the Progress Energy booth, number 310 on the main exhibition floor of the Harborview Center, and pick up a voucher, good for 1 Native Florida tree. Please, just one per family, we want everybody to be able to take home a tree.
In only it's 3rd year, the Pinellas Living Green Expo has moved to the Harborview Center in Clearwater for the 2008 event. With more then 30,000 square feet for exhibit space, the Harborview Center can comfortable accomodate more than 100 exhibitor booths with additional space set aside for Info Sessions, Demonstration area, and children's activities. All-natural food and drinks will be offered in the exhibit hall by Clearwater's Nature's Patch Bunny Hop Cafe.
The theme for this year's event, "Save Money. Save the Environment." Each of the exhibitors and vendors will provide either information or products that promote sustainability. As we continue to deplete our natural resources, every one of us can do more to make the best use of what we have and protect the fragile environment.
The Pinellas Living Green Expo is a collaboration of government agencies, non-profit groups and businesses seeking to promote sustainability-oriented products and behaviors in Pinellas County. Pinellas Living Green, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation is the main coordinator of this collaborative effort.
